Since the beginning of the year, Zimbabwe Lacrosse has been busy.
These past few months have been filled with hard work, passion, sacrifice, and incredible growth for Zimbabwe Lacrosse.
From hosting clinics and training sessions in Harare and Bulawayo, to continuing outreach efforts within local communities, every step forward has reminded us why this journey matters so much. Watching young athletes pick up a lacrosse stick for the first time, seeing returning players continue to grow, and building connections through sport has been nothing short of inspiring.
We have also had the privilege of visiting orphanages and youth centers, spending time with children, donating supplies, sharing meals, and introducing the game of lacrosse to young people who may have never had the opportunity to experience it before. Those moments continue to remind us that Zimbabwe Lacrosse is about far more than competition — it is about community, opportunity, and impact.
At the same time, our Heritage teams have been preparing for the Heritage Cup in New Jersey — an opportunity that means far more to us than simply competing in a tournament. The Heritage Cup allows us to proudly represent Zimbabwe on an international stage, shine a light on the growth of lacrosse back home, and continue creating opportunities for the next generation of athletes watching from afar.
None of this would be possible without the support we continue to receive from our players, families, coaches, donors, volunteers, supporters, and partners.
Every donation, every shared post, every encouraging message, and every person who believes in our mission helps us continue building something bigger than ourselves.
Zimbabwe Lacrosse has always been about more than the game itself. It is about creating opportunities, building leadership, bringing communities together, and showing young people that they are capable of dreaming beyond their circumstances.
2026 has already been an incredible year for Zimbabwe Lacrosse — and we are only halfway through it.
The game is growing. The community is growing. The vision is growing.
And we’re just getting started.
